NCBA President Concerned About Animal Abuse

The eight states which make up Region II of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association are meeting today and tomorrow in Columbus, Georgia and their guest speaker this morning was Andy Groseta, NCBA President. MCF Found in Commercial Cattle

CSP Signup Information

A new signup for the Conservation Security Program begins on April 18 and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Florida and Alabama are offering workshops about the program for landowners in the Choctawhatchee River watershed that includes parts of the panhandle and southern Alabama.

The workshops will be held April 22 at 9:00 am at the Coffee County Farm Center in New Brockton, AL; April 22 at 6:30 pm at the Wiregrass Electric Cooperative in Hartford, AL; April 24 at 9 am at the Ozark USDA Service Center in Ozark, AL; and April 29 at 7 pm at the Washington County Agricultural Center in Chipley, FL.

AL NRCS Prepares for CSP Signup

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Alabama is gearing up for the conservation security program sign up which starts April 18, according to state director Gary Kobylski.

NRCS will be conducting Conservation Security Program workshops for landowners in the Upper Choctawhatchee River Watershed, located in south Alabama, including Barbour, Henry, Dale, Coffee, Houston, and Geneva counties.

The workshops will be held:

April 22 9:00 a.m. Coffee County Farm Center
Highway 84, East, New Brockton, AL

April 22 6:30 p.m. Wiregrass Electric Cooperative
509 N. State Highway 167, Hartford, AL

April 24 9:00 a.m. Ozark USDA Service Center
